Aqua Grabber

Club Penguin first introduced us to Aqua Grabber in 2008, when our favourite pirate, Rockhopper, headed to the island in his trusty ship, the Migrator. All of a sudden, when the pirate took his eye off the surface and looked away, he knew it was too late to save himself from hitting an unspotted iceberg.

Aqua Grabber was shortly introduced as a mini-game, located at the Iceberg, and remains there today. What you had to do back then, was really the same as you do now, apart from the fact you picked up parts of the Migrator that had sunk, and got rewarded with a pin.

There are currently two game modes, one of which requires you to be a member to access it. That mode is Soda Seas, however you can play Clam Waters to your heart’s content.

A good idea for members, to help them easily pass through the game, is to bring their pink puffle along for a ride. Pink Puffles save oxygen, meaning you have to reach the surface not as often.

Getting bubbles everytime you see them is a must, as without this, you shall be having to rise to the surface every few minutes, delaying completion.

Taking the pearls from the five smaller Clams in this game, is not a must, however does earn you many bonus coins. When you see a Clam with it’s mouth open, hold down the space bar for as long as necessary to take it.

By accidentally nudging or holding the spacebar for too long, you are potentially awakening the Clam, causing a few second delay before it next sleeps.

Locations:

Black Pearl – Several metres in the lower left of the net
Second Pearl – Lower left after the yellow coral, directly below the net
Third Pearl – Directly below the Second Pearl
Fourth Pearl – Above the Third Pearl, near the Red Coral
Fifth Pearl – Above the Red Coral, near the Fourth Pearl

Obtaining all the of the pearls will provide you with extra coins, of a varied amount.

Heading to the bottom of the Clam Waters is where you can find the Pearl shaped Rock, used to trick the large Clam into thinking he still has his Grand Pearl, even when you’ve stolen it.

Put the Pearl shaped Rock into the Clam’s mouth, and then secretly take the Grand Pearl.

To complete this mode on Aqua Grabber, you must deliver the Grand Pearl to the net at just below the surface, avoiding the Mullet and various other fish who sprang from nowhere, on the way back.

 Spotting the Squid:

By squid spotting in the game Aqua Grabber, you can earn yourself a stamp. Once every 10-20 games, it shall appear, at the bottom of Clam Waters.

Soda Seas:

In Soda Seas, all the barrels of soda have split open in the water, and it’s your job to stop them from leaking even more. After collecting all of the barrels, you need to dive down and get a gem, bringing it back to the surface once retrieved.

You can pick up barrels by holding the space bar when above one. Then you must guide it to the net, at the very top, avoiding barriers on the way. If you happen to bash into one, you will have to pick it up and start again.

When you deliver a Soda Barrel into the net, the content of soda in the water decreases, turning it back to the original blue colour.

Locations of the Soda Barrels:

  • Lower left of the Net
  • Next to where the air bubbles are released
  • Right from the previous one, until you reach the Yellow Corals. Up to the Red Starfish
  • Right of Yellow Corals
  • Left (far) of Yellow Corals
